Job Description

Data Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Ensure the availability and quality of data by implementing robust data validation and monitoring mechanisms.
  • Provide ongoing support to analysts and end-users by troubleshooting data-related issues and optimizing data workflows.
  • Maintain and support production pipelines to ensure uninterrupted data flow and system stability.
Must-Have Skills:

  • Previous experience in a Data Engineer, BI Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in working with relational databases, preferably Oracle and PLSQL.
  • Strong experience with writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
  • Expertise in ETL/ELT processes and data integration techniques.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing and data lake concepts.
  • Experience in multidimensional data modeling.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen ability to diagnose and resolve data-related issues.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, particularly GIT.
Plus:

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as IBM Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
  • Knowledge of workflow management tools like Apache Airflow.
  • Familiarity with DBT (Data Build Tool) for data transformation.
  • Exposure to Apache Spark for big data processing. Desirable experience working with AWS services like Glue, EMR, MWAA/Airflow, and Lambda.
  • Desirable experience with the Snowflake data warehouse platform.
